There was a very respectable turnout at the second of this season's four events in the NICS Alan Burns Rapidplay Grand Prix, particularly considering that only the previous day there was plenty of quickplay action available at the Belfast Blitz and Bullit Championhips. Modestas Razbadauskas, whose forte seems to be the quicker forms of the game, had been unlucky with the tie-breaks on the Saturday, but this time he prevailed on those criteria after topping the standings with Daniil Zelenchuk on 5 points out of 6.
