Belfast Boat Club
After over 20 years being played over the Christmas holidays, the Ulster Championship moved to the May Bank Holiday weekend. A small but select field turned out for the principal event of the chess season. Winner and holder of the Dr McSparran Cup for the third time was Tom Clarke with second prize going to Michael Waters. Mark Newman took the Grading Prize.
